Health Catalyst Recognized for Its Commitment to LGBTQ-Inclusive Policies & Practices

Health Catalyst was listed on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s 2023 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), the nation’s foremost benchmarking tool measuring policies, practices, and benefits pertinent to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ+) employees.

The ranking designates Health Catalyst as one of the best places to work for LGBTQ+ Equality.

“At Health Catalyst, we recognize the immeasurable value of every individual, we listen carefully to the needs of one another, and we care deeply about our colleagues,” said Linda Llewelyn, Chief People Officer at Health Catalyst. “We’re proud to say these values meet the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s high standard, and we remain committed to providing a supportive and loving work environment where all team members feel welcome to bring their whole selves to work.”

The CEI rates companies on detailed criteria falling under four central pillars:

  • Employee Non-Discrimination
  • Inclusive Benefits
  • Supporting an Inclusive Culture
  • Corporate Social Responsibility

Some of the ways Health Catalyst supports LGBTQ+ team members include offering domestic partner benefits, volunteer self-identification, pronoun delineation, and the Employee Resource Group, Queers & Allies (Q&A).

Q&A exists to help all queer team members know they are not alone and feel supported (Health Catalyst used the term “queer” to encompass all members of the LGBTQ+ community).

The goal of the Q&A group is to create a space for the connection, support, and advancement of queer team members in their journey, struggles, and progress toward equity. It provides opportunities for socializing, giving back to the community, and promoting awareness and understanding. This ERG sees high participation, as 10 percent of Health Catalyst team members are members of Q&A.
