Health Catalyst Named a Top Workplace in the USA in 2023

Underscoring the organization’s core tenet that team members are at the center of all endeavors pursued at Health Catalyst; the company has earned the Top Workplaces USA award. Top Workplaces USA celebrates organizations with 150 or more employees that have built great cultures. Health Catalyst placed 16th out of more than 100 organizations on the list of Top Workplaces with 1,000 to 2,499 employees.

“We are honored to receive this national recognition,” said Linda Llewelyn, Chief People Officer at Health Catalyst. “Because this award is solely earned through the feedback of our team members, we take great pride in this achievement. Building an environment where our team can thrive is paramount to our company as we believe our team members’ engagement and world-class performance shine through to define who we are as an organization.”

Winners of the Top Workplaces USA award are chosen based on employee feedback gathered through an employee engagement survey issued by Energage. Energage is a purpose-driven organization that develops solutions to build and brand Top Workplaces. The Top Workplaces program has a 16-year history of surveying more than 20 million employees and recognizing the top organizations across 60 markets for regional Top Workplaces awards.

Results are calculated by comparing the survey’s research-based statements, including 15 Culture Drivers that are proven to predict high performance against industry benchmarks.

In October, after collecting the results of an Energage-issued survey to team members, Health Catalyst was named a 2022 Top Workplace in Utah by the Salt Lake Tribune and awarded the No. 1 spot in the Large Business category.

In a feature highlighting his success in fostering one of the most respectful and supportive work cultures in Utah in 2022, Health Catalyst CEO Dan Burton said, “We strive to be principle-centered in our leadership at Health Catalyst, applying timeless principles consistently, which leads to positive outcomes in any situation within which those principles are applied. These principles include love or respect for every team member, recognizing their immeasurable value; humility and careful, active listening with each team member; and servant-leadership, recognizing that leaders must be effective servants and supporters of every team member. We did not invent these principles but have benefited greatly when we apply them.”

As part of the Top Workplace recognition, Health Catalyst earned an award for Cultural Excellence in the categories of Employee Well-Being, Professional Development, and Employee Appreciation.

In addition to its accolades in Utah, Health Catalyst was recognized as a 2022 Top Workplace by the Oregonian and AZ Central.
