SALT LAKE CITY (August 27, 2020) – Health Catalyst, Inc. (“Health Catalyst,” Nasdaq: HCAT), a leading provider of data and analytics technology and services to healthcare organizations, has been recognized as one of the 2020 Best Workplaces for Millennials by Great Place to Work and Fortune. Health Catalyst ranked 19th in the small and medium company category.

To determine the 2020 Fortune Best Workplaces for Millennials list, Fortune and Great Place to Work evaluated confidential survey feedback representing nearly 4.9 million people. Great Place to Work analyzed more than 60 elements of team members’ experience on the job, including the extent to which team members trust leaders, the respect with which people are treated, the fairness of workplace decisions, and how much camaraderie there is among the team.

“We’re honored to be recognized among the Best Workplaces for Millennials, which is a credit to each of our team members’ dedication to our company’s mission, operating principles, and cultural attributes,” said Health Catalyst CEO, Dan Burton. “As a company that is committed to being the catalyst for massive, measurable, data-informed healthcare improvements, I am proud that we are fostering a workplace where our team members appreciate one another and work hard each day to help us achieve this mission.”

The Fortune listing is one of over 50 regional and national “best workplace” awards earned by Health Catalyst, including awards from Best & Brightest, Computerworld, Glassdoor, Forbes, Modern Healthcare, and the Salt Lake Tribune.

“For many years, organizations have put forth considerable effort towards attracting and retaining millennial talent,” said Michael Bush, CEO of Great Place to Work. “The Best Workplaces on this list have created cultures where its youngest employees experience not only an environment where they can grow professionally and personally, but also find a deeper sense of purpose in their work. As we prepare for a large influx of young professionals from Generation Z to enter the workforce for the first time, these organizations have distinguished themselves as the leaders in attracting and developing the leaders of tomorrow.”

To be considered for this award, companies had to meet the Great Place to Work-Certified standard and employ at least 50 millennials. Team members responded to over 60 survey questions describing the extent to which their organization creates a Great Place to Work For All™. Eighty-five percent of the evaluation is based on what millennials say about their experiences of trust and reaching their full human potential as part of their organization, no matter who they are or what they do. The remaining 15 percent of the rank is based on an assessment of millennials’ daily experiences of innovation, the company’s values, and the effectiveness of their leaders, to ensure they’re consistently experienced.
