THE CHALLENGE
Renown Health’s data were contained in disparate sources, delaying access to data, and resulting in different data definitions and interpretations of data. The organization needed a solution that would rapidly integrate data from multiple sources to deliver actionable information. It needed timely access to data to move forward with strategic improvement projects and population health needs, like COVID-19.
THE PROJECT
Renown Health integrated its data, creating one source of truth for the organization with the Health Catalyst® Data Operating System (DOS™), enabling it to deliver timely, quality care, which is especially needful to address the COVID-19 pandemic.
Renown Health also used Pop Analyzer™, part of the Self-Service Analytics Suite, to define custom populations for multiple facets of organizational needs, including daily operations, ad-hoc analytics, quality improvement, and research. To create a data-driven culture and drive adoption, the organization provided training support in the classroom, and continues to offer weekly drop-in training calls.
The organization created a COVID-19 registry within minutes and can track and visualize COVID-19 testing and results, ensuring timely follow-up, and preventing disease transmission.
