Healthcare analysts work with leaders at all levels of the organization and are key to turning data into compelling improvement insights. With personalized training at their fingertips, they will understand the context of the data, know how to analyze it in a way that surfaces opportunities for improvement, and have confidence to present their analysis in a compelling fashion to be prioritized, resourced, and championed. Give your analysts the power to move from reactive report-generating to the proactive discovery of insights that can lead to meaningful improvements.
We have identified 11 competency categories that are essential for an analyst to be able to turn data into insights. These include:
Core (the contextual knowledge and analytic skills required to begin data analysis with healthcare data):
- Knowledge of healthcare data
- Knowledge of healthcare operations
- Data analysis
- Data visualization
Technical (the technical skills required to leverage the analytic skills above with large, complex datasets):
- Data modeling
Adaptive (the soft skills required to work efficiently within and lead process improvement efforts):
- Process improvement
- Project management
We offer three services to help analysts turn data into improvement insights effectively and efficiently:
- Individual competency assessments
- Personalized learning experiences
- Certification of competencies
Individual Competency Assessments
Our rigorous assessments provide specific insights into the competency strength of each analyst. In addition, aggregate data helps the organization know which competencies to invest in to generate improvement insights better, faster, and cheaper. Here is an example of an individual assessment report. These reports enable the design of a personalized learning plan for each analyst to build the desired competencies.
Personalized Learning Experiences
Individuals can take their assessment results and establish a personal learning plan that will help them develop the right skills for their job. Our targeted learning modules provide them with the healthcare-specific training they need without any unnecessary instruction.
By certifying your analysts, you are making a commitment to uphold industry standards and provide continued learning for your analysts. This boosts your credibility as an organization and helps your analysts feel like valued contributors to the important work you provide to your community.
Certification is achieved at both the individual skill (competency) level and at the macro level (core knowledge and skills, technical skills, and adaptive skills). Individuals must pass assessments for each skill with a score of 80% or better to earn a certificate.
