Dan Burton
Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Burton became involved as an investor and as the business leader of Health Catalyst when it was a three-person startup. Since that time Health Catalyst has realized triple-digit annualized revenue growth, expanded its platform reach to over 20 million patients, and dramatically increased its employee base, product line and access to capital.
Mr. Burton has held positions such as CEO, President, Board Member and Chief Marketing Officer with a number of other small-to-midsized companies affiliated with HB Ventures, helping to enable these organizations to realize growth and success. He is also the co-founder of HB Ventures, the original investor in Health Catalyst.
Prior to Health Catalyst and HB Ventures, Mr. Burton led the Corporate Strategy Group at Micron Technology. He also spent eight years with Hewlett-Packard in strategy and marketing management roles, including building and managing a technology infrastructure business. Before joining HP he was an associate consultant with the Boston Consulting Group, where he advised healthcare systems and technology companies.
Mr. Burton holds an MBA with high distinction from Harvard University, where he was elected a George F. Baker Scholar, and a BS in economics, magna cum laude, from BYU.




Holly Rimmasch
Chief Clinical Officer
Ms. Rimmasch brings over 28 years of experience in bedside care, as well as clinical and operational healthcare management to Health Catalyst. She has spent the last 17 years dedicated to improving clinical care including implementation of operational best practices.
Prior to joining Health Catalyst, Ms. Rimmasch was an Assistant Vice President at Intermountain Healthcare responsible for Clinical Services (Pharmacy, Laboratory, Respiratory, Case Management, Rehabilitation Services, Food and Nutrition, Patient and Provider Publications, Clinical Operations for Imaging, Patient Flow, Pain Services, Continuum of Care) and was integral in promoting integration of Clinical Operations across hospitals, ambulatory settings and managed care plans. Prior to her role in Clinical Services, she served as the Clinical Operations Director and Vice-Chair of Intermountain's Cardiovascular and Intensive Medicine Clinical Programs. She also was the co-founder of and Principal in HMS, Inc., a healthcare consulting firm focusing on assessing, developing strategies and implementing best practices for populations across the continuum of care (physician offices, managed care, hospitals, and long-term care).
Ms. Rimmasch holds a Master of Science in Adult Physiology from the University of Utah and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Brigham Young University.
Brent Dover
President
Mr. Brent Dover has been the President of Health Catalyst since February 2013 and is responsible for all sales activities. Previously, Mr. Dover spent nearly 14 years at Medicity in various executive leadership positions including most recently as President. While there, he led the business growth that led to an Aetna acquisition in 2011. His experience during those years also includes various executive roles for Park City Solutions which merged with Medicity in 1999.
Prior to that, Mr. Dover was Vice President of Sales at Eclipsys and at Sunquest Systems for a combined total of nearly eight years. Mr. Dover started his career at IBM. Spanning his career, Mr. Dover has been a strategic innovator driving solutions for healthcare organizations that were seeking operational and clinical efficiencies using cutting edge information technology.
Mr. Dover graduated with a BS in Systems Engineering from the University of Arizona.
Thomas D. Burton
Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder
Mr. Burton is a co-founder of Health Catalyst and former President of the company. He brings 14 years of process improvement and IT experience to the company. Mr. Burton was a member of the team that led Intermountain's nationally recognized improvements in quality of care delivery and reductions in cost. He has taught courses in the Toyota Production System, Agile Software Development, and Key Process Analysis courses in the Advanced Training Program at Intermountain Healthcare's Institute for Health Care Delivery Research. He currently teaches courses at Catalyst University and the Advanced Training Program in Healthcare Delivery Improvement. Mr. Burton holds an MBA and a BS in Computer Science from BYU.

Steven C. Barlow
Senior Vice President of Client Operations and Co-Founder
Mr. Barlow is a co-founder of Health Catalyst and former CEO of the company. He oversees all development activities for Health Catalyst's suite of products and services. Mr. Barlow is a founding member and former chair of the Healthcare Data Warehousing Association. He began his career in healthcare over 18 years ago at Intermountain Healthcare, and acted as a member of the team that led Intermountain's nationally recognized improvements in quality of care delivery and reductions in cost.
Mr. Barlow holds a BS from the University of Utah in health education and promotion.

Dale Sanders
Senior Vice President of Strategy
Frequently introduced as the leading authority on healthcare data warehousing and business intelligence in the United States, Mr. Sanders has spent the last 15 years applying IT to improve quality and efficiency in healthcare, while also reducing expenses. Prior to his healthcare experience, Mr. Sanders worked for 14 years in the military, national intelligence, and manufacturing sectors, specializing in analytics and decision support. In addition to his role at Health Catalyst, Mr. Sanders continues to serve as the Senior Technology Advisor and Chief Information officer (CIO) for the National Health System in the Cayman Islands. Previously, Mr. Sanders was CIO with the Northwestern University Medical Center, and Regional Director of Medical Informatics at Intermountain Healthcare where he served in a number of capacities including chief architect of Intermountain's EDW. Mr. Sanders is the founder of the Healthcare Data Warehousing Association, with now over 200 institutional memberships worldwide.
Mr. Sanders holds BS degrees in Chemistry and Biology from Ft. Lewis College, Durango Colorado, and is a graduate of the US Air Force Information Systems Engineering program.
Paul Horstmeier
Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Horstmeier brings 25 years of Fortune 500 and small business operations and general management experience to Health Catalyst. He co-founded HB Ventures and filled senior executive roles at HB Ventures portfolio companies. Within Hewlett-Packard, Mr. Horstmeier launched and grew three different businesses, including co-founding HP's commercial e-commerce business which later expanded to include the management of the data systems and infrastructure for marketing operations across the company. As Vice President of HP.com, Paul headed up a 700-person organization which was awarded nearly every industry award for quality and innovation during his tenure.
Mr. Horstmeier holds an MBA and a BS in Computer Science from BYU.
Jeff Selander
Chief Financial Officer
Prior to joining Health Catalyst, Mr. Selander was CFO at HB Ventures, a private equity firm in Boise, Idaho. Catalyst is Jeff's fifth start-up as a venture finance professional, and his third as CFO. During his career, Jeff has assisted CEO's in raising over $250 million in debt and equity from institutional investors. Prior to HB Ventures, Jeff was the CFO for Great Basin Scientific, a pre-revenue life sciences start-up. Previous to Great Basin, Jeff played several senior finance roles for iBAHN Corp., a venture-backed high-speed Internet provider to the hospitality industry. During his tenure, annual revenues grew from $8 million to $135 million.
Mr. Selander holds an MBA from the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College, Boston, Massachusetts and a BA in international relations from BYU.


Dr. John Haughom, MD
Chief Medical Officer and SVP
John Haughom, M.D. is an experienced healthcare executive with proven expertise in technology-enabled innovation, developing results-oriented strategic plans, leading multifaceted organization-wide change, and directing complex operations. He has a strong record of turning vision into effective strategies and successfully implementing initiatives resulting in value including higher quality, safer care at the lowest possible cost. His broad knowledge of healthcare and emerging healthcare technologies is coupled with his recognized leadership abilities, strong communication skills, and demonstrated ability to contribute to organizational goals such as improved clinical outcomes, lower costs, improved access to care, and increased profitability. After practicing for 15 years as an internist and gastroenterologist, Dr. Haughom assumed a senior executive role with responsibilities for system-wide automation, budgeting, customer support, database administration, healthcare delivery, information technology, quality, quality control, research, safety, and strategic planning.
Representative Accomplishments
Dr. Haughom participated in the formation of a multispecialty medical group. He also
became President and CEO of a firm focused on health care transformation through consulting, strategic planning, mentoring inexperienced physician leaders, involvement in regional and national reform movements, membership on boards of leading edge organizations committed to improving the value of healthcare, and partnership with other like-minded organizations with similar aspirations and goals.
As Senior Vice President of Clinical Quality and Patient Safety for the premiere health care system in the Northwest spanning three states (Oregon, Washington and Alaska), he developed and implemented a system-wide quality improvement strategy, comprehensive patient safety plan, and comprehensive system-wide information technology strategy.
